Mindset
Three Reasons Celebrating Your Many Accomplishments Is Critical to Your Success.
One of the keys to success, I share with my clients is the importance of celebrating your wins and achievements on a regular basis. Not only does it change your mindset, it also, feels great physically, and also reinforces those positive attitudes and behaviours you need to achieve your goals, dreams and wishes. This is a great article, as it highlights how celebrating your successes can support you when you face a new challenge or opportunity and help you rise to the occasion. Celebrating your successes increases your energy and helps you create a track record of success that will motivate you towards taking more of those actions needed when creating more of the life you want, especially, when the rewards you are looking for and you deserve become a reality. As a result, they’re not grounded in reality and can easily become frustrated or depressed. They tend to overreact and dramatise their story in a way that makes them, the victim of something that is happening TO them. The first step is to stop and objectively assess the situation, as best you can. Objectivity means ‘even minded’. It means you’re anticipating the challenges you face and mitigating your response. It's about lowering the bar, so as not to be so hard on yourself, as far as expectations go. Getting stuff done can remain the goal, but not if it's at the expense of your personal health and self-care. That just sets up a cycle of anxiety on top of all the other cycles, already on repeat. If you're ready to let go of that anxious feeling when facing your never ending to do list in your brain, where even, the simplest task becomes overwhelming, then, breaking the pattern of perfectionism--> procrastination --> paralysis cycle is a good first step. What I've learnt from personal experience is putting myself first on my 'to do' list is the fastest way out of procrastination and launches me straight into self-care and when I take care of myself, first that's when I take the most action.
